Pine grows slowly in Norrland, Sweden´s Arctic region. Trees are not ready for harvesting until they are between 100 and 150 years old. The growth rings of an slowgrown pine are closer together than those of a faster growing tree. The closer the growth rings, the harder the wood. Northern pine gives a GK door its beautiful surface structure. It also allows us to build a door that is more resistant to bumps and scrapes than many other pine doors.

All models can be delivered with cut-outs for glazing, with or without window bars. The choice is yours. Thanks to the special hinge design, every GK door is reversible, despite the asymmetrical panelling. You don´t have to worry about left or right hanging when ordering. This also applies for double doors.

All of our thresholds are made of oek, a hard and durable wood. An interesting feature is that our thresholds can be lifted up without leaving a trace on door jambs or flooring. This is an advantage if you would like to lay new flooring in adjacent rooms. The ventilation openings are under the door, between the threshold and bottom rail, which allows efficient ventilation.

Door frames are made entirely of northern pine without any ugly finger-joints. This is particularly important if you want a clear varnished or stained frame. The door frame is delivered in components, with reversible hinge and lock sides, which simplifies assembly for left or right hanging.

All doors are delivered with a lock case but without handle and keyhole plate. Lock function on a left or right hanging door is easily altered by pulling the bolt out and turning it 180 degrees.

Door jamb fittings are designed so that the door leaf can be mounted from either sidee. The door leaf is also very easy to remove.

All doors in our wide assortment are available in the following choices of surface finishings; natural finish(untreated), clear varnished, white-lacquered, stained or painted in NCS chart colours.

- All GK doors are reversible, i.e they can be hung left or right .

- Window doors are delivered with fixed window bars without nails or   screws.

- Glazed doors are delivered with or without glass.

- Hinge fixtures, handles and keyhole plates are delivered as   accessories.

- Specify when ordering sliding door leaves without fittings,   otherwise standard fitted doors will be delivered.
